The artist is Hitoshi YONEDA

You may recognise Hitoshi Yoneda as the artist behind a lot of classic Falcom artwork, and also Phantasy Star covers.

Below is the cover to Phantasy Star II (copyright Sega). If you click HERE, you will see a selection of some of his other artwork (there’s a second page, too!). His work contains some especially delicate water-colouring, which I rather like.
